At Apple Inc media event on Tuesday, Tim Cook and co unveiled its widely anticipated iPad mini along with several other upgrades to its product line and many other surprises. Apple introduced a new 13-inch Macbook Pro with Retina display and a new iMac desktop just 5mm think.

Apple starts taking orders for the new model on 26th October. Microsoft Surface and Google Nexus 10 tablet is also scheduled to be released around this time.

Apple also introduced a fourth Generation iPad, just 7 months after the last one came out. Apples marketing Chief Phill Schiller said “This is a powerhouse. With the new Apple A6X chip and its faster performance, I can’t even see the competition in the rearview mirror.” The fourth-generation iPad will have a better camera and work on more “LTE” wireless data networks around the world. Apple is also replacing the 30-pin dock connector with the new, smaller “Lightning” connector introduced with the iPhone 5 a month ago.
At the event Apple announced that it has sold more than 100 million iPads since April 2010. Analysts expect Apple to sell 5 to 10 million iPad minis before the year is out.

Apple’s new 13-inch MacBook Pro laptop with “Retina” display has a resolution four times that of the older model. The new model has no optical drive and traditional hard drive. Instead it uses Solid-state “flash” momory. The Macbook pro is 20% thinner and is 1.7 Kilograms. The new iMac desktop computer which is 5 millimeters thick also does not have optical drive. The new imac model with 21.5 inch and 27inch screen will start shipping in November.
